The Low Carbon Construction Association (LCCA) exists to support the transition toward more sustainable, scalable and inclusive practices.
The built environment shapes how billions of people live, work, and connect. As the climate crisis intensifies and urban populations grow, this transition is what keeps the way we build from locking in emissions for decades to come.
We help make that shift real by supporting dissemination of low-carbon solutions such as LC3 through technical assistance and training, and advancing the policies and standards that help them scale, from the lab all the way to the construction site.

From Lab to Real Implementation
EPFL developed LC3, a low-carbon cement cutting emissions by ~40% vs. ordinary Portland cement. Argos Colombia has adopted it and used it in a range of buildings.

Industry Wide Adoption
And it's spreading. Over the past few years, cement producers in a growing number of countries have taken up LC3, turning a single innovation into a broader industry shift toward lower-carbon building.
