Buildings are responsible for nearly 40% of global carbon emissions, consume vast natural resources, and shape how billions of people live, work, and connect. As the climate crisis intensifies and urban populations grow, the construction sector must transition, rapidly and responsibly, toward more sustainable, inclusive practices.

The Low Carbon Construction Association (LCCA) exists to support that transition.

We work with researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society to help reduce the carbon impact of construction and support the delivery of a built environment that is fair, resilient, and sustainable.

We do this by:

·      Raising and distributing funding for research, demonstration, and dissemination

·      Supporting and participating in events that promote low-carbon construction

·      Informing regulations and codes to enable broader adoption of low-carbon materials and methods

·      Advising public and private organisations on implementation and strategy

·      Sharing knowledge directly or through partner institutions

·      Supporting the development of roadmaps to near-zero carbon in cement-based construction

·      Building a network of organisations committed to low-carbon solutions

·      Partnering with other nonprofits and initiatives working toward the same goal.
